Absolute poverty is a highly political figure. It's arbitrarily set and if you take out China, the gains are not as clear as you think. There was a debate about this several years ago when Bill gates tweeted out similar claims you are making:

As to the distinction you are making about China not being capitalist because its government intervenes in certain markets, by that definition, no country is capitalist. A great majority of US companies make their money from government subsidies. These labels are not as clear cut as you are making them out to be.
