I don't have empathy for these fascists. I am not going to expend any energy on them.
I disagree that the powers of the state will stop fascism in all cases. It's not that simple. Brazil's courts are far more progressive than ours right now. In the US, many people with authoritarian sympathies are in power. Leftists are turning to the black bloc and arming themselves because of how dire the situation is becoming here.
We don't diagree that violence might be necessary, but I think you need to assess whether the US, in its current form, is capable of doing that. While the US was fine killing Nazis when it meant fighting for global supremacy, the US has largely had a hands off approach to our homegrown white supremacist hate groups. That should tell you where we are.
