I think there are many different threads here. I will say, it is impossible to truly not write about your perspective. Even when you are analyzing data, your perspective effects how you analyze it and what data you pick in the first place.

Being aware of your perspective (your identities, both internal and external) actually can have the opposite effect of what you seem to be suggesting: it can help decenter yourself and be more objective, because you are screening for potential biases.

I agree that social media is insufferable, but it's not a SJW thing as much as a "our platforms are designed to elevate really triggering content." The content conservative "SJWs" are promoting is equally cringe. The same with moderate SJWs. Just bad takes all around.

If you are an activist, even if your activism is online, decouple it from social media feed's. They are designed to hijack your brain, and your are not immune to the dopamine slot machine Mr Penguin is talking about. I disagree with how the author structured this article, but they are not wrong about that
