Isn't the fact that artists don't have as many opprtunities as Willow more of an inditment of our society?

I am not a fan of the Smith family (in the same way I am not a fan of most rich people), but the thing I am angry about is not that she didn't take advantage of this opportunity and further maximize her wealth. It's that she has so many opportunities in the first place. If she were more "hard working" she'd still be taking opportunities away from others, probably more even.
